Matt is an unemployed piece of man trash. He’s also a dear friend. Two to three times every semester he ventures outdoors to skateboard with me. Weather was horrendous once again, so we made another trip to the “Church Berrics” little warehouse my buddy Aaron put together through his youth group. There were contractors there working so we had a very cramped little space with only one floodlight to light it up and a half dozen of us trying to skate. I met a nice dude named JR and his two friends whose names I can’t recall. Here are a few of the tricks that went down in our quick little crowded session.

Skateboarding in Spain
This is a video of me skateboarding in Oviedo, Spain. We found this halfpipe in the middle of Campo San Francisco. I only skated two or three times in Spain because my foot was messed up. I skated once with a boot on my foot, once where I couldn’t even roll barely, and then this time.
This video isn’t really anything to watch it’s just visual proof that I was skateboarding in Spain. The main goal of this was to try and get a video of me doing a rock fakie. I couldn’t ever get close to the coping so I just rolled around for ten minutes.

Chris met me at the park after my shift. My friend carmen took some quick snaps with just an on camera flash of me and cory (backside) smith. I tried to nosegrab over the step up but my tail kept hitting the angle iron, then Cory did his signature backside smith on the rail for the first time. Finally i tried to grind the rail but my bindings came unlocked.

Everything is Terrible
This might not have too much to do with skateboarding, but I’ve decided it has enough to do with skateboarding for me to post it.
There is this website called everythingisterrible.com and it’s got some pretty funny videos from the 90s. It’s really a website that capitalizes on the epitome of how weird the 90s actually were. At least that’s what I think when I watch some of the videos they have. They recently came to Columbia, but I didn’t know what it was all about, so I missed out. They have some footage from 9th street video in one of their videos on their site.
Anyways what is better than a giant talking christian robot and a kid named BJ?

the blog has been sort of quiet lately.
More like an echo chamber. If you look here you’ll see, even though WALKER started this blog, I have at least 163 more posts than ANYONE else. I know you all have point and shoots, some of you have camcorders, most of you have fingers, and at least half of you know how to write. So join in, I’m lonely posting all by myself.
